The Resort and Casino project was completed in 1999 and consisted of a 43-story, 3,209-room hotel with a multi-level, 135,000-square-foot casino, restaurants, convention center and arena. DMI was the mechanical subcontractor for this project.

In addition to the main facility contract, DMI provided mechanical work on the Mandalay Bay Convention Center North, ending in 1998, and plumbing services for the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium which were complete in 2000. The Shark Reef Aquarium is a public facility with 14 exhibits totaling 1,600,000 gallons of water. the main tank is 1,300,000 gallons, one of the largest in North America. The facility features a shark tunnel and displays numerous different species of sharks, rays, fish, reptiles, and marine invertebrates.
